The Future

Beacon marketing will be here to stay. In the near future, beacons will allow us to enter a store, help us locate a product, check the price and description of the product, and then purchase the product without the assistance of any store employees (Cooley, 2014). Instead of having to waste your time looking for products in an unfamiliar store, beacons give us the ability to pinpoint the exact location of our desired product. Also, imagine going to the airport and being checked in for your flight just by arriving at the gate, or having purchased a train ticket just by entering the train (Krzych, 2015).

With new business uses emerging every day, it is clear many industries believe that beacons are an important way of communicating with customers through the use of a variety of different functions now and in the future to provide a seamless retail experience (Rust, 2015).
